e2 Flash Shutter Speed

Nikon D7000 custom setting menu e2 Flash Shutter Speed

Explanation: Here you can choose the longest exposure time that the D7000 uses for photos with flash.

It does not apply to flash synchronization SLOW (see the explanations about flash mode) – then the exposure time can get longer regardless of the setting in this menu.

The default value is 1/60 second, alternatively you can choose longer exposure times of up to 30 seconds.

Tips: Use a slightly longer time than the default of 1/60 second to let in some more ambient light for a brighter background.

I use 1/30 or sometimes 1/15 second that you can hold free hand without too much shaking. However when taking e.g. pictures of people that move or talk this can give already blurred pictures because of their movements.
